Mr. Jackson and his entourage stopped at the Inn for refreshment and rest. While there he negotiated the rental of a sleigh in order to continue the trip. This however did not work out all that perfect as the sleigh broke down and they had to rent another which enraged Mr. Jackson. He concluded his trip, but not before then Mr. Jackson let his feelings known. This incident was used against him in the presidential campaign between him and John Quincy Adams of which President Jackson won.
